Property Maintenance Crew Leader

Position Overview

Messingers Hardscape Landscaping Design is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Property Maintenance Crew Leader to oversee residential and commercial property maintenance services. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who values efficiency, teamwork, and quality.

You’ll be responsible for managing daily maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, seasonal cleanups, pruning, and general landscape care—ensuring that every property we maintain meets our high standards of appearance and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a crew in performing lawn and landscape maintenance

• Operate mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscape maintenance equipment

• Perform and oversee seasonal cleanups, pruning, weeding, and edging

• Maintain quality control and ensure work is completed efficiently and to company standards

• Communicate with clients and management regarding schedules, expectations, and feedback

• Train and support crew members in proper techniques and safety procedures

• Track materials and report progress or issues to management

• Ensure all equipment is maintained and used properly

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in property or landscape maintenance

• Previous leadership or crew management experience preferred

• Strong working knowledge of landscaping equipment and maintenance techniques

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to manage time effectively and motivate a team

• Valid driver’s license required

• Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic

Work Schedule

• Full-time: Monday through Saturday

• Standard hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with breaks)

• Overtime may be required during peak season
